AN OPEN LETTER TO MARILYN BERGMAN
President, ASCAP
Dear Marilyn,
Like Frances W. Preston, you have never responded to any of my correspondence of telephone calls over the last several years.
I expect no special treatment, only the common courtesy of a reply.
During my recording studio days, I sent you hundreds of new ASCAP writer and publisher affiliates, many of the Grammy Winners! The man who got me into ASCAP, Ed Shea, who ran the Nashville office years ago, was a real gentleman and a caring, concerned individual when it came to the rank and file membership.
Obviously, things have changed. Like Frances W. Preston, you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help implement the most important change in the history of ASCAP. What a great challenge! Just think of the difference you can make.
Sincerely,
Shad O'Shea
